Community Origami Boat Workshop

Location: Mural Site “Galveston Water Tree” on 26th Street & Market
Join CTRL+CREATE for a hands-on community art workshop as we create origami boats together while our youth mural is being brought to life.
Community members of all ages are invited to stop by, fold an origami boat, and add an inspiring quote, message, memory, or word that makes them think of Galveston. These boats will become part of the creative energy behind the mural, and a select few will be chosen to be included in the final mural design.
This is more than an art activity; it is a chance to leave your mark, celebrate community, and witness youth creativity in action.
Come create with us, encourage our young artists, and be part of something beautiful for Galveston.
What to Expect:

Community reflection and creative prompts - A chance to see the mural being created live
- Select boats/messages may be added to the mural
