Galveston Environmental Youth Cohort

Build the future. Protect your community. Get paid to do it.

Starting June 2026, CTRL+CREATE is launching a paid summer program for youth who care about the environment and want to take real action in Galveston. This isn’t a lecture series.
This is where your ideas shape what happens next.

Participants will form an environmental youth cohort that identifies the issues that matter most — from flooding to pollution to climate justice — and turn those priorities into action through workshops, teach-ins, and community engagement.

In partnership with CEER (Coalition for Environment, Equity, and Resilience), this program is built to center youth voices in environmental change.

Over the course of this workshop series, participants will design and paint a large-scale public mural alongside professional artists and facilitators.

This isn’t just about painting a wall.
It’s about being seen, being heard, and creating something that matters.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify key environmental issues impacting Galveston
  • Help shape workshops and teach-ins based on your priorities
  • Engage in real conversations around environmental justice
