Becoming Us- An Art Exhibit

We’re looking for 30 pieces of art that speak to the real experience of growing up today, your struggles, your empathy, and the change you want to see in the world.
Submissions are not juried; works will be reviewed and accepted in the order they are received.
Selected artwork will be exhibited on Saturday, September 12, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with ArtWalk taking place from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
From 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM, representatives from NAMI will offer a brief presentation, followed by a speaker from CTRL+CREATE sharing more about our programs and opportunities for youth.

From 6:30–7:00 PM, reps from NAMI will share some real talk around mental health, followed by a speaker from CTRL+CREATE breaking down ways you can get involved and level up your voice.
Submission
- Once 30 works have been accepted, the submission portal will close.
- All accepted artists will be notified via email and reminded of the drop off information for their work.
We believe access should never limit creativity. If you need materials to complete your project, CTRL+CREATE can provide essential art supplies.
Participants may request the following materials:
Canvases
- Assorted sizes (4×6, 8×10, 9×12)
- Multi-use for painting and mixed media
Paper
- Watercolor paper
- Drawing/sketch paper
Paint
- Acrylic paints
- Watercolor paints
Brushes
- Variety of paint brushes (detail + standard sizes)
Drawing Tools
- Colored pencils
- Graphite pencils
- Markers
- Erasers
- Sharpeners
Modeling Materials
- Modeling clay
Requesting Supplies
- Supplies are provided based on project needs and availability
